The new REACH (Regional Education Alliance for Community Health) building will be located and attached to the north end of the Shuniah Building. This site has been determined as providing the best position and access to existing facilities and co ordinates well within the current Confederation College Building and Infrastructure Master Plan.
The building will be a three story, 40,000 square foot structure. An additional 10,000 square feet, located on the first floor of the Shuniah Building, will also be renovated.
The new and renovated space will primarily house the health and community services programs and the associated labs, clinics and simulation learning environments.
Construction is planned to begin this summer with completion and occupancy targeted for the fall of 2011.
Construction Project Lead: Ron Vopni, Director of Facility Services
Architect/Engineer: Kuch Stephenson Gibson Malo
Mechanical and Electrical Engineer: SMS Engineering
